The Corran Cardigan is an all-over lace cardigan, knit from the bottom up with drop shoulders. There are two neckline options: round and V-neck and two sleeve lengths: short and long.
This pattern can be knit in a wide variety of fibers making it a perfect transitional piece.
HOMEWORK: Please purchase yarn ahead of time and knit your swatch with size 8 needle as follows:
Cast on 20 stitches.
Rows 1: *k1, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to end of row.
Rows 2: *k1, p2, repeat from * to end of row.
Rows 3: *k1, yo, k2tog, repeat from * to end of row.
Rows 4: *p1, k1, p1, repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat rows 1-4 8 times.
Bind off.
We are looking for 14 sts and 26 rows to 4 inches. If you have more than 14 stitches in 4 inches, redo the swatch in a larger needle. If you have less than 14 stitches in 4 inches, redo the swatch in a smaller needle. Continue until you make stitch gauge. Swatching guarantees a proper fit for the sweater.
