The Danforth Bag by Auntties Two

The Danforth Bag Pattern by Aunties Two makes a perfect briefcase with woven interfaced strips of fabric, a top flap, and 2 handles.  Finished size is 13"H x 17"W x 5 1/2"D.

Materials Needed:  Bali Pops can be used to make this bag!

• For the  woven strips: Use 2 1/2" strips cut the full width of the fabric (usually 42' to 44")
• Vertical - 1 1/2 yards or 18 strips 2 1/2" x width of fabric
• Horizontal - 1 1/2 yards or 20 strips 2 1/2" x width of fabric
• Binding, handles, gusset and pockets - 1 1/4 yards
• If choosing separate fabrics:  Binding and handles - 1/2 yard
• Gusset - 1/4 yard
• Pockets - 1/2 yard
• Stiff Interfacing - 2 rolls of Rigid Weave or 2 yards of  other stiff interfacing 20"
• Fusible batting (45" wide) - for  pockets and gussets - 1/2 yard
• 1/4" cotton upholstery piping for handles - 5 yards
• One magnetic closure and buttons (optional)
