THE SANGRIA BAG
This stylish purse pattern includes full instructions for a needle felted embellishment or a strip pieced cotton version. Finished size is 16" x 9" x 5".
Materials Needed:
- For strip pieced cotton bag: 2/3" muslin or scrap cotton approximately 19" x 26" (will not show in finished bag)
- 6-12 different quilting cottons - fat quarters of each
- OR, if using scraps, enough fabric to cut a total of approximately 30 - 2" x 18" strips in a selection of 6 to 12 fabrics plus 1 fat quarter for bag sides
- 1/2 yd cotton or other fabric in coordinating fabric (for handles)
- 2 yd 16/32" cotton filler cording (as used for piping in upholstery)
- 1/2 yd fusible fleece
- 1/4 yd Timtex or Peltex (OR scrap approx. 5" x 18")
- 1 yd medium weight, crisp fusible interfacing
- 2" hook & loop fastener
- 3/8" grommet
- Selection of coordinating beads and sturdy thread
